The Roundup is incredibly well rounded action film, consistently firing on all cylinders. There are some stunningly choreographed hand to hand combat sequences. Ma Dong-seok beating the shit out of vile criminals makes for a great sequel. Dude's a tank and it's SO satisfying to see the bad guys squirm and struggle as he pounds the crap The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil doesn't revamp the procedural formula, but it offers solid, action-heavy thrills, tension and pressure, and moments of stark violence.
